RIP Hanahana ;_;

I assume she didn't give birth before she died.
If Lilia didn't give birth( and she didn't know she was pregnant until told), I doubt Hanahana had a chance before her moonbreak.

Come to think about it, I'm not even sure how much time progressed within the story but it must be under 6 months.

I said it a couple chapters ago. He has gotten so hyper-focused on saving a couple people right in front of him that he is neglecting the bigger picture. He could have been strategizing a way to kill the queen witch, but no he spends his time still marveling at how wet the girls get when he simply touches them.

Poor one out for our girl Hanahana

I get that no one has plot armor, but why would you make it so that the women who can/do get pregnant can still die from the last moon? It seems absolutely retarded. And to do it off screen to boot!
I hate to defend Okamoto Lynn because his story choices usually border on the insane. However, if I'm not mistaken this proves that even after having sex a no-collar is susceptible to moon-breaking which outside of Mei we've never seen or been aware of a collarless moonbreaking, but her moonbreaking occurred so soon after that it was hard to tell like the girl who had sex during her moon breaking that there may be a time-limit.

Hanahana's death proves that No-collars are susceptible and there is now a ticking clock on Lillia.

If you want an in-universe reason why they die if they are pregnant, it's because Kanejo wants risk free sex with sex slaves.

edited for understanding in bold.

I called this since chapter 251.

Wtf? I thought Hanahana won't die because she had sex (and was probably pregnant)
She didnt get the black collar. Only those with the black collar are presumed immune to the moon breaking. She probably could have been pregnant or at least had the ability to be pregnant.
Some folks need to go back and reread 250-251, when Lilia conversed with the moon hologram.
NO ONE is safe, whether they are barren, or able to conceive. Lynn kept this shit on the down-low for the longest.
That basterd Kanejo MUST DIE. Youta's fucking around and saving no one right now.

I appreciate your defense of author despite your hatred. Thank you.

Tbh I didn’t even consider that in-universe reason which makes perfect sense.

It's not that I hate him or anything In fact I've enjoyed most of his works Elfen Lied, Brynhildr, this manga. He's just so frustrating to read. He invokes tropes that I love like Arthur C. Clark's Third Law which states "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" which is a fun law to play with in fiction (he also used it in Brynhildr). Then there's this series which from my interpretation started out as an isekai satire since Isekai often delves into harem tropes this takes it to its extreme, but it actually became popular and he delved back into his usual wells.

The most obvious well he draws from are a) start throwing shit at the wall e.g. [Brynhildr spoilers] The Goth Loli in aviators with an MP5 or b) makes a character so edgy and evil it's almost laughable e.g. The black coated man in Elfen Lied, I'm not even joking he didn't even give the guy a name, but take my word for it he is iredeemable and is there just to be edgy.

The worst part is with this manga he seems to be doing a little of 'a' and 'b'

Sorry I got into a bit of a rant also i noticed my original post had a bunch of errors I'm glad you could understand it

No problem man. I figured you didn’t hate him as a person and it’s his stupid tendencies which you hate. And no worries about going on a rant. Helps to vent to randos online at times as more likely than not they’ll understand.

I’ll also admit that I had no idea that this was by the same dude who made Elfen Lied. That show traumatized a lot of my friends back in the day and from the clips I saw of it I just NOPEd out of inflicting self harm. :aquadrink: :aquadrink::aquadrink:

(Also, the spoiler tag didn’t work.)

Why would they keep the bridge and not immediately evacuate on water if they knew Karu can't cross it (like vampires) - unless they only found out during the assault.
