I just realized, a witch dying like this is eeriely similar to their moonbreaking.

And we still don't know how the women are born or made, whether through cloning and/or magical means. if Okamoto-sensei is feeling particularly cruel, most of the girls might end up like the golem here after they defeat the Jealous God.

Based on his previous works, I'd say, any girl that deserves a good life will die.
