I believe he's visited a grand total of 3 villages. The story has an in universe reason why he's doing it. Girls that have rings appear on their neck don't go through moon-breaking and if he gets emotionally attached to anyone he wouldn't want to see them die.
He didn't enter the 3rd village, and the way that went was completely out of left field.
There are also boss monsters he's had to deal with in unique ways. Not to mention the sublot happening in the real world. A lot to sink your teeth into narratively.

If you forgot the plot because releases are slow it's not cause the plot's not there.

@TitanAnteus if you include the raws, it's the 4th village by now. and that's more than enough. and nitpicking isn't really helping your case here either. imo it doesn't matter how he gained entrance, but rather what happened in the end: him fucking someone or getting fucked (literally). everything else feels more like an excuse to continue at this point (which i welcome for the girl variety of course).

if you really think it'd be worth following without it's sex appeal, then good for you. unfortunately i've got a different opinion.

lastly, i never said it's got no plot, but that it's getting stale. meaning i've got no particular interest in the happenings in-between, save for the ending.
