Does anyone else get a eerie sense from paru's dad? Maybe its just western and eastern family value's clashing. Aswell it took me way to long to figure out her dad was the author of grappler baki...
Of course Paru's dad would be like this, I could only imagine him to be like this lol. Even the way he scrapes the bubbles off his beer is just so Baki.
Yeah, very disconcerting how she chooses to draw her father. Draws him like a huge thing when he's just a normal guy, and dresses in his own merchandise instead of her own.

Well Paru first and as of now only legit manga Beastars has been going on since 2016 and is soon coming to end. While her father is still writing Baki for well over 30 years. The fact that Paru didn't let anyone know she was the daughter of the author of Baki for years and got Beastars successful without his help says a lot about her. She couldn've easily went to her father at any time to use his connections to get her manga serialized, but she didn't because it wasn't fair or right. Gotta give respect for that. Personally I think it's perfectly normal for here to keep her private life and her face hidden. As for her drawing her dad like that well the man absolutely loves martial arts and practices them too. With wearing his merch like come on dude their father and daughter I see nothing wrong.

The way she draws him gives me more of a feeling of a commanding and powerful individual. This most likely suggests that she see's her father as a great figure of importance which can be frightening at times. This isn't to say that he's frightening but rather the fact that being around someone so great can be overwhelming. Compounded with the fact he wasn't around that often made the times he was around more impactful.
Just a reminder that this implies his wife reads Baki... how the fuck does he make certain scenes and think “hmm yep I’d show this to my wife” like the huge acorns on this chad
