Holy shit this chapter was delicious. I don't know what you guys are talking about.

Firstly, Toramaru being completely receptive to criticism and willing to change what she could-while also acknowledging that there were some things she couldn't-was incredibly refreshing. With how cartoonish her personality is portrayed as sometimes, this particular reaction made her feel like not only a real person to me, but a mature person. Not to mention her delinquency is the perfect excuse for tsundereisms in a lesser story, but we got none of that.

Secondly, Unoki figured out the misunderstanding on his own and we got a genuine embarrassed reaction from him.

Third, even if there's still a disconnect preserving the biggest misunderstanding, their relationship is progressing pretty tangibly. She's falling harder and he's picking up more and more hints(actually, he usually doesn't miss the hints like the typical dense MC).

Even if we consider the serialization remake ver of Amane Story, we are already reached a turning point in their relationship which is the baseball game while this manga is still screwing around with misunderstandings and yuri. Katou is neither stupid nor dense either consider the sneak peek of his book "Talking with Amane-chan" in the original webcomic shows he understands quite a lot more than it seems

@Screw_Deconstruct Sorry for the late reply, but, weren't you talking about a completely different series? Twigums said Amano Megumi, as in this but you said Amane and Katou, so the names for both main characters should be different. There shouldn't have been any baseball stuff in the series they're talking about either as far as I can recall. The thing with the book could have fit, I think there is a joke like that somewhere in the series, but I don't think there was a pre-serialization webcomic for Amane Megumi. Even if there is the continuity of the serialized version doesn't include pre-serialization nine out of ten times 'cause they usually start fresh for a serialization.
