There's actually a lot to unpack in this chapter!

Akutsu-mama probably had Riko when she was 18 or 19 so she's 35-36 now. She was pregnant during her last year of HS but still graduated. She confessed to Akutsu-dad at Christmas before her final year so she must have got pregnant right away.

They never had another kid. They probably went through a lot of family and social crap for being an unwed teen mom and so that left a bad taste in their mouth about having another kid.

Akutsu-mama not only had to buckle down and pass school but do it while pregnant, which is why she's so hard on her daughter cuz she's just to lazy to do it.
