Have y’all looked at containerization coupled with something like postgres-orchestrator? The problem is at the end of the day you still need the storage and still need the load balancer but it might help with some of the horizontal scaling growing pains.

I said it in Discord, but I wanna say it here too, I think putting some non-intrusive(more importantly non weird porn) ads in the browser section only would be totally fine with most people, especially if that helps alleviate some of the chance of this happening ever again, I know I'd at least whitelist the site for that
