There was a different Warp scale in TOS, IIRC. It was in TNG that they set Warp 10 to "infinity"

I sus it may have been for the opportunity to ship Janeway and Paris and make fish-kin babies.

Isn't Discovery in the TOS Enterprise's time period? Why does it seem like most of the clips make Discovery out to be so much more technologically advanced then the newest tech? Did they jump to the future and nerf 31st century tech?

I think the Voyager (Intrepid) class is the sexiest starship, but she is a bit bit needy like a M16 in the jungle.
And the NX Enterprise is just bada**!

I think I saw a concept similar to a Galaxy class Drive section spliced with a Intrepid upper hull. looked SOOOO GOOOOD!!
