Guess so. This mangaka likes to throw a curve ball to the reader every now and then.

Nice, this is the first manga I ever saw touching on the concept of AI. Love it 😍

@DeadKinginHell I think this may resemble something of an AU kind of setting. Kana and Touma don't know each other in this setting at the start and is set in 204X. I don't mind a chapter like this once in a while to just give the setting a slight twist.

hope this setting lasts a bit longer. it's neat seeing them as young adults instead of the typical school students.

Lol but Kana would be so mad tho when she finds out that Touma tricked her!

japan's court of law setting reminded me of act-age's cancelation...

sad.

Future AU Touma and Kana are cute and all but I hope we go back to normal soon.

The AI is smart, but it's not too bright. What kind of bedroom doesn't have a bed? And the main bedroom of all things as well.

I wonder if this is the very first time that the AI judge was asked to show its own understanding of the case ever since the system was implemented. I mean, machines are only as perfect as the humans deem them to be.

This AU is nice but it makes me sad thinking that this is the first time they meet each other. Thanks for the lengthy chapter!

This chapter is nice, it is about AI rigidity and most probable answer. But what I really wonder
what is his friend (culprit) goal? Sending his friend (accused) to jail so that he (accused) can be free from work and wife? By murder?

@Asalsio
the friend was the one who created the loophole in the AI code and was afraid that the accused would find out and maybe expose him or smth idk, so by sending accused to jail, accused wont be able to figure out about the loophole. that's my theory anyway
