Good Kazuhide didn't last long and definitely burned himself to her. Sensei only thinks of aki when she is with someone else or when he is with someone else, we know that she is in love with him. Even a Kazuhide who seems to be a specialist in women feels that there is something between them.
For aki (and sensei) I think this episode is positive and will help some things move forward, aki felt jealousy and sensei wanted to impress her but in the end she quickly regretted it....she wanted to spend the evening with aki.
Now I think Kazuhide will no longer compete with aki, but he could make jealous sensei if he takes girls to his apartment or takes aki out to hot places or parties....
In the end, even if there should still be a lot of adventures for this manga, I don't see how aki and sensei won't end up together at the end.
