Well Abraxas was quite Old Testament
Isa went full New Testament on their ass
If a bit abrupt, the ending is fun.
Isa wasn't Akira of Devilman level of compassionate to all humanity and all that, but he was unconditionally loving and caring mostly either way. And the twist that Ahasuerus died by meeting Isa was interesting too.
My props go specially to the art when it depicts epic religious imagery. Both human (churches, clerics, etc.) and the alien. The angels and gods are fantastic (even if Abraxas is the weaker link), and I wish the artist made more Abrahamic mythology (and other mithologies too of course).
