Practically all of these authors need to write a main character as a seemingly average guy who’s secretly an amazing person. It’s always the most simple minded attempts at wish fulfillment that require very little creativity, instead opting for everyone else in the world being inept, cruel, or just a “stock NPC.”

probably a case of how concentrated the mana is, since the plants are very high level (also gotta grind em fine enough to dilute it i'd assume)

add to that that monsters shouldn't be outside too much, assuming the cliche of normalized dungeon clearing to avoid "stampedes".

tho this does bring up many questions:
-how have the weeds not left the forest vs just approach his house
-if dungeons can appear outside of civilization, how has this not caused problems in unexplored/unpopulated regions of the world
-how do the stats adjustments work where he's killing strong things easily, yet doesn't notice himself getting stronger (stamina was explained by the 2 hour 1 way bike ride)

One of the comments was "But wait, can monster materials even be broken down?". Implying that monster materials don't normally rot, so just copying what he did what he did won't work. His microbes have probably been monsterized like everything else in his house.
