I never really thought about it until now, but the translator is doing a great job with the sfx. Keep up the good work!

Still wished parts of the WN wasn't so padded. It being longer doesn't really make their angst any more real.

Skip it. Nothing happens. The best you get is "conflict" between MC and basically Gary Oak, but Gary Oak was infinitely more entertaining at least.

I'm currently reading through the official English LN. (Currently on vol 2, part 2).

This isn't a story where the world revolves around the MC. Rather, you have a number of fully fleshed out, strong characters who have their own motivations and stories. More like a strategy game than an FPS.

In the manga comments, I've seen too much hatred directed towards Katsuya. Yes he has some flaws, but he also has serious strengths. (For one he has more natural talent than Akira.)

Alpha: She/it is grooming Akira for her mission. (Same with Beta.) And we know from early on that what she wants done is likely to be something highly destructive of large (maybe vast) numbers of people.

The long term pleasure of reading this comes not from identifying with the MC, but rather watching the interactions play out between the characters... plus of course the excellent combat sequences.

Tldr; just another One Piece in short.
