There's a reason why mangas that have femboy dressing as a girl or tomboy dressing as a boy fall under the crossdressing tag.

The same reason applies to biological transformation (from male to female or vice versa) and body swap between male and female falls under the gender bender tag.

That reason?

Because in reality, sex IS gender.
Not true. There is a strong association, and it is exploited here for ease of understanding, however that's oversimplifying a bit much. Sex is biological, gender is social. Remember that. Please. That's why you have "gender roles" such as women being typical housewives and good at cooking, sewing, etc. All housework stuff. That's their traditional "role" in certain conservative circles. It's only been recent in human history that they could aspire to be more than that. Or that men could be nurses. Yet you have wo/men who don't conform to these roles. Anything Yuri or Yaoi should be a good example. =/

I'm not even going to argue with you about the difference between sex and gender, because I already know that's pointless.

However, even if you don't want to distinguish between the two, you are confusing gender bending (which relates to otokonoko), with gender swap. Check the mangadex tags for reference, it's not rocket science. Crossdressing is a type of gender bending, because, as the name implies, you bend it without actually swapping.

You don't know the meaning of terms like gender bender, at all. You're getting strikes because you're blatantly ignorant and don't understand the definition of basic words, terms and phrases and it shows.

"Why do you think trans people relate with magical sex change tropes in the first place?"
Wishful thinking to put it kindly, delusions to be blunt.

You are confusing gender bending with gender swapping.

Check:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_bender

and

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otokonoko

What is depicted in this manga isn't genderbending, it's genderswapping. In fact, mangadex itself has a genderswap tag and uses crossdressing tag for genderbending mangas.

Why do you thing it's delusions? Have you talked with trans people about it? If you did, you'd know it's common.

By your logic, there could be a man in a Yuri relationship or a woman in a Yaoi relationship. And we all know that when most people read the word man they apply it to males. People also apply the word woman to females. There's a reason why in other language the term sex and gender has the same meaning and is the same word.

In art/fandom, the term gender bending is used for gender swap. After all, if you search "gender bender" on sites such as deviantArt or Pinterest the results have always been gender swap. But sure, I guess if Wikipedia says gender bender involved crossdressing too who am I to say otherwise eh?

Not exactly, on sites like deviantArt or HF it really depends on the author's whim, as those sites don't use othological tagging: the tagging is up to the author and there isn't a central authority, so to speak. In contrast, if you take a look at danbooru for example, doesn't have a genderbending tag, and opts for other tags like otokonoko or crossdressing, for example. They do have genderswap and androgynous tag though.

If you look at their wiki you'll find that it is very consistent with the wikipedia definitions I provided, even if they don't use genderbending directly. In fact, if I recall correctly, they did have it in the past but replaced it with more specific tags, to avoid confusion. I imagine Mangadex is following a similar tagging convention for the same reason. This debate isn't exactly new.

Man, I just love extensive debates about sex and gender in manga comment sections. It always brings out the most sensible and level headed people.

Look at the chapter you just read. That guy with a female body, he was raped by another guy. From his perspective, he engaged in gay sex, because he still sees himself as a man. Does that make sense to you? Put yourself in his shoes. How would you feel about yourself in that situation?

If I were in that situation, no I wouldn't consider it gay.
Horrified? Yes.
Gay? No.
Sexual intercourse between male and female isn't gay.
Same-sex intercourse is gay.

"The term gender identity means how a person identifies themselves concerning their gender. It may be regardless of their anatomy or genetics. Thus, a person may identify themselves as male, female, none, both, or some other category independent of their genitals." Astergender: The person has a bright and celestial gender identity.
Astral gender: Having a gender identity that feels to be related to space.
Genderflow: The gender identity is fluid between infinite feelings.
Genderfluid: The person does not consistently adhere to one fixed gender and may have many genders.
Esspigender: The individual relates their gender identity with spirits.
Exgender: The denial to identify with any gender on the gender spectrum.
Existigender: The person’s gender identity exists only when they make conscious efforts to realize it.
Burstgender: Frequent bursts of intense feelings quickly move to the initial calm stage.
Caelgender: This gender identity shares the qualities or aesthetics of outer space.
Cloudgender: The person’s gender cannot be comprehended or understood due to depersonalization and derealization disorder.
Holy shit, the more I read this the more cultish it becomes.
Bruh, some of these are just personality traits.
Goddamn, if this is how the West portrays gender, it's no surprise the saner one wants to keep sex and gender different.
Funny how they use the terms male and female for gender instead of man and woman despite pushing those to use for sex.
Even they have trouble being consistent with this kind of thing.
OR MAYBE MALE/FEMALE = MAN/WOMAN.
Thanks for the GenderDex I guess.

Don't cite Wikipedia as a source, did your teacher never tell you that?

Gender bending, as far as the fandom has always been concerned and always will be, is the act of a a person of one biological sex being magically changed into the opposite biological sex either via magical change or body swapping. That's it. Nothing else falls under the gender bender tag, certainly nothing to do with traps or crossdressing and trans is never gender bender.

Why do you thing it's delusions?
Take two men. One of them gets hit with a "turn into a girl magic spell", the other gets hormone therapy and surgery etc. The first one was genderbent, the second one is trans.

The two of them proceed to live out the rest of their natural lives and eventually die and are buried. Time passes and a thousand years later with no context available to them, Archaeologists dig up the bones and conclude the first one was a woman and the latter one was a man. That's the difference, the former has to try and convince people they're really a man because physically they're 100% a woman and the magic has effectively rewritten history as if their body was always female, while the latter has to convince people of the opposite because they are not women biologically and they are still missing the relevant organs as well as the fact that their body's growth as a man up to that point is still set in stone.

In all of human history so far, exactly 0 trans people have changed their sex. They've legally changed their gender, but that is not your biological sex. You say you were born in the wrong body and want to try and fix that? Great, work hard and do your best to live true to that, perhaps it will bring you comfort. Transitional surgery and drugs however are not a magic spell and should never be mistaken as such, and as for people who call themselves "trans" rather than as a "woman" or as a "man" and nothing else then I have to greatly question their motives, because if you believe you're really a woman mentally then why would you ever do anything or call yourself anything that would cast doubt on that 'fact'? Just be a woman and call yourself as such, end of story.
