Question is... is she worried that Dara-san is around her kids? She seems upset on the last page, but Chiyo clearly feels a lot of respect and admiration for Dara.

Well... she does understand Dara is a kami, and she understands part of her story as a "wrathful" god at that, so not exactly strange she is cautious, at the very least.

What reason is there to not talk? She's very open with the kids and tells them literally everything about her life as Yamatagi Madara. And her relationship to Chiyo in the past was positive.

She might try to deflect but fail since she isnt the best with social skills and the Misogiya women are really deft and clever.

Its going to be really interesting, mom was shown to be about as sensitive as kaoru or more, has more knowledge on the history and is a devout believer. Plus all her frequent and weird offerings Dara actually enjoys lol
