I actually quite like their banter here. It shows much of their character and how much they contrast yet are similar in certain regards. I also like that Alicia is much more accepting of her life in this other world and is coming into her emotions more, especially her feelings for Duke.

I do just kind of love how people are able to communicate their wants and dreams from opposing sides in this manga while the narrative is still willing to accept the stances of both parties without heavily vilifying either one.

Yeah there's some times where people go too far and moments where someone is depicted as genuinely misguided or in the wrong, but for the most part characters are allowed to be themselves without being immediately convinced or warped into a new mold by Talk no Jutsu.

Much more satisfying to see the saint become someone who still has her dreams but is willing to see the perspectives of others rather than being outright antagonistic/ ignorant for the entire plot.

"Woah no way characters are able to have their own opinions and change their minds in a reasonable manner" shouldn't be a surprise but it is.

Oh no, I smell the axe falling. Too many plot threads are getting wrapped up. The scheme about Duke forgetting was resolved, Liz and MC had a heart to heart, Alicia very clearly won the romance, Alicia stated her goals, had a recognition about this world being "real", no loose threads back home...

I have a suspicion that the next few chapters might be the last.
