More like Foreign Gal to me. Her eyes are as big as those in south.
"Naive Gyaru" is such an strange genre if you stop to think about it, but I'm not saying I don't enjoy it. I really do like the gap of Naive and unintentionally Lewd and enjoy the lucky pervert situations, but it does sometimes make you feel a little guilty. What made the genre blow up so much? Gal Gohan is my guess.

The special makes an awful lot of sense and is a great way to showcase your menu. She's got business instincts!

Yeah, TBH it sounds like a good sampler board if you aren't sure what to get, especially for a new restaurant.

I can see why other places dont do it tho. It's probably the least efficient way to serve people if too many go for it at once, since you generally focus on making a lot of [most popular food] and not as much [less popular food].

From a browse on the most followed Gyaru manga, I'd say Gal Gohan got the trend rolling, and then Dress up Darling secured it as a trend to really chase after.

Also honorable mention to Hajimete no Gal for being trash before it was cool to be trash.

Naive gyarus who don't realize how lewd they are, cheeky gyarus who are nice to otaku, bitchy gyarus who are tsundere for the one they bully... truly, there is as much variety in the gyaru world as there are flavors of ramen. itadakimasu!

Went to The Mackenzie Room in Vancouver last week, they have a tasting menu where it is all 12 items on the menu, and the menu constantly changes. Just enough on each serving for everyone to have a bite or two.

Tasting menus are great!

Damn, Glasses is falling hard lol. Can't blame him tho, Renge has that pure friendly energy even outside of her unintentional physical prowess.

wait... the manga is named Renge to Naruto... I thought it was just foods. Glasses' name is Naruto?
Well, she DID talk to him nicely AND smiled. What else is a virgin anti-social work-aholic supposed to do when he's NOT used to talking to girls. Matter of fact, he's ALREADY GONE. Then again she IS cute AND friendly. It would be totally awkward if she friend zoned his ass because she has a boyfriend. But it doesn't seem to be THAT kind of manga.

Man hajimete was so bad. I dropped years ago even when I was finding for gals lol. It's still going now, yeah?

Also Renge is so adorable I can't handle it!

There's really strangely charming in that character and her energy is pretty joyful. I was strangely pleased to see that there are more and more customers in her restaurant. I also like this running gag of having her make immense flames when cooking, even for ramen.
I also thought Renge was a flower (see Non Non Biyori), I guess there are several "Renges".

As someone attention starved. I can sadly relate. You know they are just being nice and at work so you spend so much time in your head with a mix of fantasies and also trying not to be creepy. Probably over thinking both at the same time. But unintentional or not, you enjoy the intimate vibe in a world that otherwise feels isolated. :haa:

Yup, 17 volumes and still ongoing. Crazy. You probably got farther than me; i watched like half the anime then tried to read a volume of it and I just came to the same colclusion: "wow all the males in this story are trash". Shame because the main girl has this nice mix of nagataro and Uzaki vibes while being way hotter than both of them.

It's funny because I'm pretty tolerant of the pervert kinda of characters. It's just that they have such trashy thoughts of women that it kinda ruins the whole vibe. The author's other work Gyaru San is much better just becsuse he's a bland indecisive protagonist lol. Doesn't get in thr way of the ecchi shenanigans (and it helps that there's more fanservice than Hajimete no gal. Other problem, huuuuuge blue balls lol).
