He brought electronics but it wouldn't have hurt to download some wiki information, medical textbooks or something, even crossbow schematics would probably be useful now becaue Dinosaurs nigga? wut ? or, Perhaps the author was afraid he wouldn't be able to control the flow if our MC is a tad bit smarter, imagine if he brought science books with advanced materials. Because the physics of that world doesn't seem to be that different from the Earth, almost all of those knowledge can be applied. The escalation of event will be pretty crazy if there were attempts to reproduce all of those knowledge. Industrial Revolution and shits might actually happen, and war.. to plunder those knowledges. I believe it will be war first, because even with utmost secrecy, something so world changing will still leak.

@kamishiniyari Because the manga is about "The Ideal Sponger Life" and not "How I Rebuild This World And Become The New Ruler". He's supposed to be prepared for an ideal life where he just lazes around doing nothing :v

@kamishiniyari The thing is technique and knowledge are 2 different things. Already the glass making they want isn't really in textbooks from what i've learned or at least the more complex stuff is. Even if he brought knowledge for it I'm sure it'd still take them 20 years to master it if not more. This does not even involve the mastery of finding the needed minerals, knowing how to harvest and refine them as well. That means they may have to learn how to refine other things to use in the refining process of other needed products. I've got a lot of textbooks and finding ones that can be of use not only for theoretical development but provides and understanding how to apply the knowledge. If the textbooks don't connect to each other then it would require more time for them to figure it out. I do agree that he could have been smarter on what he brought. Even if they couldn't get electrical up for man years, steam power is within grasp so bringing knowledge about steam powered engines, the shops with the belt lines then about probably some of the most important machine like lathes, planars, shapers, power hammers and mills eventually (which goes to cnc when computer catch up). Stuff about old tech and the physics, chem and math that go along with them would be great.

@Liquidxlax , well , yeah, applying knowledge is quite hard, but at least they won't need to go for extreme trial and error, dos and not dos (that the Earth's inventors already go through) if they have the perfected materials, that should at least cut a lot of time in the research process. Yea, the fundamentals will help them more atm, they haven't even produced a proper glass melting furnace.

in the end, with all things considered.. he should still bring science books, even the elementary ones , iirc on older chapters she was surprised by simple arithmetic..

I gotta wonder how big this nest is, though. Just how much food do these dinosaurs need? Rather than just leaving a corpse, it feels more effective to just drag it back to the nest.

@kamishiniyari I get where you are coming from, but the MC was in this world for less than a day the 1st time he was summoned. Plus, his whole life was just about to change in a drastic way. So I doubt he had the time or temperament to check the development of their civilization. The only reason he brought electrical and electronic goods is because he was feeling hot sleeping at night and realised there were not fans or ACs. So I think it's believable that he wouldn't bring stuff that'd help this civilization develop.

Why would he bring a physics or engineering textbook? If you've read any physics textbook, they're complicated as fuck. It's full of math concepts that I think even the MC would struggle to understand. He's a layman, not a genius.

The general is an interesting character, a pain for the main characters, but not really a bad guy, just ambitious.

He feels like the kind of guy who could turn into Julius Caesar, though. I. e. super talented charismatic military leader stages coup and takes over the entire country, which of course requires him to execute all his competitors. Not cause he's a bad guy, but because it's the only way to consolidate power.
