The enemy is building fortresses. :thonk:
It would be a shame, if our MC would gain a weapon against those nice, tall, but thin medieval walls. :kek:
Problem with medieval walls isn’t that they’re thin (in fact, they need to be of some width to withstand catapults and trebuchets), but that they are built vertically straight up. That makes it easy to topple given a cannon’s sheer firepower. It’s also why architects like Vauban designed the star forts: add angles in, and not only are the walls more durable, but you can increase the chance of the cannonball ricocheting/bouncing, especially since they use cannonballs.

this is also why tankers (and tank gamers) are always advised to angle their tank hull if possible and sensible (if you try to angle an IS3 which has a pike nose/preset angles, you might just nullify your own angle advantage)

FYI, there is a new cover on the title page. Present two new girls.

The brown hair girl is definitely new one from barbarian tribe. The other one, I'm not so sure but my guess is the "so-called merchant" with a little history with Aegir.

So that fortress the nobles were happy about in first half of the chapter is going to get demolished by that canon, I guess. it's going to be beautiful

At this rate, the horse is going to beat his master at the breeding competition

So the enemy is building fortifications (to hide behind) while our MC has a armoured force capable of rapid movement... hmmm, where I heard of similar scenario before?

It'll be sad when cannons eventually become widespread and the age of chads like Aegir comes to an end.
