I'm wondering how a count's daughter got engaged to a prince in the first place. Maybe he was a playboy who got smitten by her looks, pursued her and eventually threw her out after he got his harem of snooty ladies with better social status/more notable titles. But she didn't seem to be in love with him by the time she was kicked out. It couldn't have been a political decision since there's too much of a social status gap, to me she'd have to be at least be a duke's daughter to be believably betrothed to a prince. The engagement proposal likely came from the prince's side since her family has way less political power.

Anyway, at least her dad seems to be a decent man who cares more about his daughter's safety over his family's prestige. Her mom appears to be a stereotypical social climber who cared more about her own reputation in her social circles. Did she have a (deceased, I suppose) brother in a flashback?

Given that combat is not her expertise, I expect her to be either a capable strategist for her future army, or an able administrator who can effectively and efficiently organize a military force while hiring the necessary experts. Maybe both.
