Seemed like Rosario Season 1 manga on MangaDex is compiled from multiple scanlator groups. Quality varies between those groups, giving us things like (Bite-sized Monster Encyclopedia, One Mouth Monster Encyclopedia), (Nekonome, Nekome), (Moka's last name variously as Akashiya, Akasha, Ayakashi, etc), and infamously in this last chapter "Missing text."
For free manga, I can shrug and forgive all of that, though.
Rosario somehow got simultaneously funnier and more serious in these later chapters, almost like Ikeda started really feeling the characters better.
Was surprised to see the goofy throwaway chapter where all the girls visit Tsukune at home made it into the anime. My working theory was that the anime was being produced at the same time the manga was bring written, so they had to go anime original in a lot of ways.
I understand the criticism of the anime better now. At least for me personally, I enjoy them both as separate entities, rather than feeling bitter that the anime was not a direct adaptation.
Was happy to see Nekonome show up in the background of the final panel!
