Maybe he's going to swap out ingredients for a cooking recipe by despawning the ingredients and loading building materials into the item slot? Crafting and cooking are usually similar game systems. So instead of cooking producing the recipe the cooking spits out the village?

Honestly I'm kinda expecting that he's gonna teach the slime something that accidentally exposes/kills the slime, like a vibration tech that just has a side effect of making slimes disintegrate/break apart.
I wonder if it'll be one of the glitches he previously showed that depend on attacking friendly NPCs to trigger an animation rather than doing damage. A damage number showing up where it shouldn't would be incredibly sus.

He's definitely not wrong about new blood finding new exploits.
Boba skip in MGS was found by a first time player who was standing in the right spot at the right time and figured out how to clip through a closed door, skipping a boss fight and another minute or 2 of climbing.
MGS is over twenty years old at this point.

Name meaning: Sadaijin. Souzeme.
Before anyone comes in to say this is unrealistic and you should gatekeep your games, it is.

You don't want to actively panhandle your game because the odds of getting someone who actually enjoys it are low (Why would they enjoy your thing if they don't like it enough to actively read up on the basics) and the odds of someone new doing WR things or gamebreaking stuffsLike I do even lower. Even the author remarked that Sadaijin is a WR holder in another game.

In reality just leaving accessible passive resources is fine. Higher tech can be locked in videos with like a hundred views but no secret Discord tech or at least that's my stance on it.

Also a game is best when it's stale. If you find it fun enough to find yourself wanting to boot it up every second like an addict to push it to the limits even if you are the best at the game and are not running for arbitrary milestones or to make sure others don't catch up then that's a good game. Runners nowadays really do not run stale games and I think that just tends to say more about how much they actually like their games.
What is panhandle and stale game?

Googling panhandling got me some stuffs, but I'm not sure how begging strangers for money relate to what just happened.

I just really wanted to force a pan handling joke in there
But seriously, when it comes to advertising your game, I don't advocate for actively trying to get newcomers but rather more passively so because the chances of someone bad going into the community are way higher than someone good if you just try to get traffic to your game. Anyone can cook but it's not like just anyone can actually cook.

A stale game is my term for when stuffs get fixed in place as stated.

Thinking about it now, if the slime boss were to actually eat MC and gain all his knowledge and memories, he'd be going through some pretty crazy existential dread finding out his entire world is just a video game (or at least was)

And then there are gods like Pannen who spend their lives cataloging the bugs used for speed runs so the future runners can avoid the fucking invisible walls

Hmm, I kinda get what you've said but I don't see how it becomes calling what MC said unrealistic.

From what I understand, what the MC said are basically (1) More Runners means higher chance at finding glitches, and (2) Treat beginners right. The most active thing he did to get newcomers into the hobby is writing guides, streaming, and teaching the old man that already speedrun at least a bit.

I think you've also mentioned that they could look for the more obscure videos for "higher tech", but sometimes videos stay obscure for a reason (like bad audio and stuff) and just reading texts can be confusing. That might be why the yakuza-looking old man on (in?) page 17 asked for MC's help.

(A lot of this is my bias as that newcomer who has broken a few games I don't even think I play that much)
This is all correct. I have to say that he isn't actively promoting his game that much and I do advocate for being passively friendly, I do talk to folks about stuffs in the same way if they come to me but not this aggressively. But the outcome itself of getting an actual discovery is more on the unrealistic side because of a few reasons: I think it's just important that Sadaijin isn't an actual "beginner" but a WR holder but is unstated in the page, it misrepresents the actual idea of anyone can cook

0) You want dedicated players and not just players in numbers. While you really don't know where a chef will come from, it's not like just getting random beginners would... Work that cleanly. Higher player count does not directly correlate to higher dedication since on average dedication should be the same across all player bases, player count only increases the number of people with high dedication. Speaking of dedication...
1) Dedication and exposure are different. You can treat beginners right and there is no problem with that. But if your game is already readily accessible to some extents then you really aren't going to get any more quality labbers with more exposure, they come to you instead. The chance of someone getting something is just higher if they bothered to learn on their own first and all you need to do here is to passively welcome them in.
2) The chance of someone brand new striking jackpot really isn't that high unless they already have good experience from another game (This is me speaking as the newcomer who has done the exact same thing to a few games). Playing the numbers game isn't something anyone actively hopes for since that's just really unlikely.
3) If newcomers don't actively push for discoveries then you get nothing. Good for folks if they enjoy what they learn but most stop at that. More players can also lead to fewer discoveries if they all get on the same learning path and end up with mob thinking or circulating the wrong knowledge though this is more of an indirect result of most newcomers not wanting to go that far. Always happened to my games so far
4) Real dedication is on a different level. A tech video I had for a game that had fewer than 10 views at the time (And I did no PR for) was picked up and analyzed by the community by pure coincidence and I got inspired in turn to do my research better and got even more than I asked for, practically making minor history for that game. Obscurity isn't a real reason in today's Internet environment when it comes to dedication.

The bottom line is that the random beginner has to overtake the bunch of experts and that's just plain unlikely.Unless you're me
Any more on this would be way off topic so I'll just stop here.

I was hoping he would know about the slime... kind of disappointing with his speed run boss beating record so far.

"He's always looking down and never making eye contact with me..."
I don't suppose she realizes the indecent bikini armor isn't helping in that regard? If this had been a more generic isekai story I'd say that smells like a side ship, but this is a gag comedy more than anything.

He brought the frying pan out. I have high hopes for what he's "cooking" next chapter.
