Could've been worse. Author easily could've made the heroes spare the slime, on account of it being "harmless". At least they tried to finish it off.

Then the vampire will either changes sites or just abandon the mission.
Also the slime will probably be buried alive or something.

Surprised this cropped up, though in hindsight this does line up with how game codes can work. I don't have exact instances off the top of my head, but I recall reading a number of games where using glitches and/or specific exploits can make several entities invulnerable to damage and death, which makes sense for Lapsi here on account of the whole "lagging so hard you OoB into the literal world void".

While there's a few comments immediately acting flippantly ire, I'm actually gonna hold off and see what the author's trying to do here. I mean, the fact that everyone unanimously agreed to try and kill him again means they're already weary, and even the villager girl doesn't seem to want anything to do with the evil twink so the chances of redemption are very slim. I do hope he doesn't stick around though, or at least has extremely small cameos from wherever they decide to ditch him in - the current party roster already has tight comedic potential, and last thing I want is to be reminded of Morgana.

My assumption was that his hitbox and everything was stuck OOB, but I suppose that wouldn't explain why his death events triggered unless that was an intentional failsafe to prevent softlocks.
