I'm inclined to agree. It seems like the author is doing it to build up the drama for a big climax where the truth is revealed on all sides: Nikaido is honest about her intentions, it comes out that the MC and FMC are living together after his parents abandoned him, FMC counters Nikaido by giving a genuine confession to prove she really does love and care about our boy, and maybe (hopefully) the author gives the MC some nuance/character development (possibly having a breakdown over being abandoned and his everyday life both at home and school being filled with stress and uncertainty).Short haired girls involvement makes me want to drop this. You're joking/trolling, right?wdym she is hot af, tomboy + huge breasts + perfect posture
That will be after father and son in law meet upThey need to sweat together... in the bed... without clothes...
Thanks for the TL btw
because this manga is just a fiction about a guy surrounded by top tier girls, just enjoy and delusional 👍You're joking/trolling, right?
The person you're responding to clearly stated that his/her problem with Nikaido is a lack of substance: as in personality, character motivation/development, and positive traits.
By comparison, your response was an appeal to just surface level details, specifically her appearance. "What are you talking about, bro? She's hot as fuck!" isn't a solid foundation to build a long-term relation/partnership on.
Plenty of ppl, and it's actually tasty. I tried something similar once (though I don't remember what I cooked. Pancakes maybe? Or pastries? Or was it an outright omelette?) and it was indeed really tasty...who the heck would put sugar in fried eggs?
Was the broth(miso) not for the karage (which means chicken)? Though I similarly am unsure how to use broth when deep-frying :SI wanna point out two things:
1. Broth? in eggs???????????
2. she calmly demanded to be called by her first name? insert dumbledor-asked-calmly.gif
I think it's more a question of nostalgia, than fond feelings for the the actual ppl. And that ppl are used to the tastes they grew up with.Im sorry . . . . Hold on . . . . What??? Didnt his parents like . . . . Abandoned him??? went to casinos??? Left him with a mountain ammount of dept???
I can never really relate to the whole "use my real name" emotional aspect given in my culture it is the norm for it to be used by anyone. But I do like that it really is such a personal thing that it is found in most mangas
The duality of man.I know its a cultural thing, but man i can never get past how silly the whole, "use my first name" thing is
There is nothing wrong with wanting to get to know someone personally before commiting to a relationship.what's yuya's problem lol... he literally got the best gf in all of japan. what's the issue with going out with her? altho i can see that nikaido has a crush on yuya, but yuya doesn't show anything like that.
Ok, I am rereading some chapter and I will add something about the tears stuff. Some people are almost unable to cry in front of other people and need to have a really, really deep connection to show this side.I think I might see what Nikaido's character motivation is. She definitely has feelings for the MC to some degree, but then in swoops the most high-spec of rivals to snatch him away. And really, why would someone of Hitotsuba's stature want to be with someone who is average/ordinary by comparison? Maybe she's stringing him along, following some wild whim, only to eventually dump him when the luster wears off and she gets bored.
The MC may also feel the same way to some extent, especially when taking into consideration that their relationship begins with him at his lowest, abandoned by his family, and the two would-be lovers/future spouses effectively being strangers. Seriously, out of all the fish in her sizeable pond, why the hell would the most admired, sought-after, and incredibly affluent JK in Japan fall for and want to live with him right out of the gate?! What's more, even if she is being one-hundred percent sincere, the beginning of the manga still portrayed their introduction as akin to a rich person buying a pet. Hell, I'm not a huge fan of arranged marriages, but I think even that would have been more dignified than what we got.
Finally, why would the MC prefer a lunch that reminds him of the parents that abandoned him? The answer, I think, is memories. The MC is recalling the simple, happy days of his childhood when his immediate family was still whole, and his days were filled with warmth, love, and his mother's homemade cooking. Nostalgia is a powerful thing, and it wouldn't have been out of place even in a gag/rom-com manga like this for the MC to tear-up at that moment. The guy has been through something rather traumatic, which can be easy to forget with the tone and his seemingly stoic demeanor so far. To be honest, I kind of wish he had shed a few tears then and there. It could have served to make the girls realize that in their selfishness and jealousy, they are overlooking his suffering and feelings towards the whole situation (even if Nikaido and the rest of his classmates don't know the full story about him living with Hitotsuba).
