Just as the wizards are full of radicals, the “civilization” is barreling people as energy source and brainwashing “criminals”. Both are questionable to some extent.

And so here I was totally rooting for the potato and tomato faction to win only to get mashed potatoes and tomato sauce….

So many moments
  • Destruction of the dnd level trope
  • Lord S, his companions, and their forever fluttering side tails
  • Yoshida immediately wraps her legs around senpai the moment he comes for her
  • The necromancer section chief who fight on the frontline, and vow to continue doing so even after death (RL polticians, take note!)
  • The priest who serve last rites in the midst of fighting, and hold contempt for those responsible for all this death and destruction.
  • The summoned creatures show emotion for the first time. They certainly prefer their isekai moment.

Will the heroes get good xp if the wizards have lost their power? The answer will be found in chapter 63

The author really isn't afraid to maim or kill familiar characters, even if they're only side characters. The boyfriend of the parchment/paper couple lost a leg, Zazach of the constantly flirting couple lost an arm, and I think the guy who got beheaded is Kettlehead of the Wild Goose Hunters. Maybe missing limbs and even death can be solved with magic, but we've seen at least a few familiar faces die permanently, like that one girl from the Information Office.
