Has to be DUMBEST writing i have ever witnessed. Are you telling me the MC didnt have enough braincells to think over the incident for 2 YEARS??? This SOOOOOO lazy and just plain dumb. Idk if its the manga slandering the original LN but this is hard to watch.

I'm pretty sure he must have heard the full story from the guild master right after the incident. But it's the getting your hopes up that she's just clumsy at communicating, and then learning she's clumsy enough to send him to a death trap. Forgiving the mistake is one thing, but trying to trust that person again would be rather irrational.

Idk that I mind the time skips. Personal taste for sure but I'm glad we skipped the whole "[weakest] adventurer's journey to S-class" that we've seen a million times now and just skipped to the party where, yeah he's OP and everyone already recognizes that he's S-class.

Imo it keeps the main plot going and that's, despite being more than a year later, how he still can't bury the hatchet with his old party.

Normally it'd take at least 2 volumes to get to the point.

Yep and the Scared team saw the pricess MC and they all have a conversation . Later when Hyce(MC) left party, Sasha confront Hyce to apology but MC said it too late for that.

cant blame MC. I read the LN too, the dream two childhood friend hold is that they together build the strongest team/clan. But in the prosess Sasha kick Hyce out. I mean you work so hard and then your friend just kick you out just because you not powerful enough and then the black acient dragon incident. It then lead to a scene where he questions her about what she see in him. Which in turn leads to her revealing her feeling about it, talking about the present and who he was.
and regrets about what had happened in the past!

and then making out and almost going further than that but was interrupted

Now this just my speculation
I think from where they left off hyce actually might have feeling for her himself, like he did in the past but currently doesn’t fully understand or accept it. Since he had previously abandoned those feeling after the incident. And doesn’t want to change from the person he is now. He views himself as a person who shouldn’t be like by anyone let alone love by anyone.

He won’t forget the past and keep living as he is now! And I don’t think Sasha should either But he also doesn’t want Sasha to be tied up by love for someone like him

So I think he does have feelings for her but afraid if he accepts his feelings or her feelings it he’ll change

I really don't care for the hate the OG party is getting they seem like nice people (or most). In the first chapter Reynold (the shield guy) kept checking up on him to make sure he was okay, he tried to stick up for him saying he "-just can't use his abilities yet." and not to let it get to him when he was feeling angst-y, and worried when Hyce ran in and almost got himself murdered by a snake.

Robin, the archer girl also really wanted to help Hyce carry his stuff and was against kicking him out (For the healer girl she seems kinda mean/sassy to everyone and the support cast doesn't really say much). As for Sasha I don't blame her for removing him from the party, she literally just watched him almost get himself killed and it seems like he's been struggling for awhile. My guess is she figured the only way to protect him was through some tough love since without some reader hindsight he could disobey orders and get himself killed at any moment now that they're fighting even stronger stuff. As for the SS+ dragon she was just trying to help him in his adventuring and was a victim of plot induced stupidity from the writer.

Sasha had already decided to banish him from the party a few pages before the Queen Cobra almost got him.

No that not right I’m pretty sure she always has feeling for him. Especially when they where in a party together. because of being the pressure of being a leader , there dream and the gaslighting of the other members. She didn’t realize it till too late. I’m like 90% sure it had nothing to do with strength.
I mean I’m even pretty sure the other members who confessed to her realize that was a lost cause currently and long before hyce got exiled.

That she always had feeling for hyce.

I think it was one those things of where you didn’t know what you had till was too late!

Cause she did care about hyce just with the factors I mentioned.

She ended up not being able to be honest. And took the wrong path.

Which you do see how much it does torment her later down the line!

Plus don’t forget they are childhood friends to teenagers with a lofty goal they were trying to reach. Feeling like love probably got put to aside

I mean even hyce admit much earlier that he loved Sasha when he was in the party.
And it my speculation that his feeling are mix about her.
So the same can be said for Sasha

I think it just one those things where she was so comfortable with a person that when there gone you don’t realize how important they where too you.

Now does this excuse her?
No not even close but I don’t think she cares romanticly about strength. And that her feeling are genuine

She just couldn’t be honest about how she felt about everything
And is now torment by it

Spoiler content on Sasha's actions and feelings towards Haise, adding from above, Sasha is not only being the "ambitious and diligent" type, forgetting the original purpose of the relationship, but she also took the party's situation too hard it builds up stress in her head. She would vent it out by throwing flaks at Hyce for dragging the team on daily basis, only to regret it at night every day. A really flawed character with both external and internal flaw-reasons. Really good writing.

Apparently almost dying after being betrayed by your childhood friend and developing trauma from the experience is "edgy". But this is also the same crowd that go "Why don't you just murder him! I would have!" whenever a modern MC doesn't go murder hobo on anyone who looks at him wrong.

You speak the most facts I have heard in very long time. I been getting so tired coming to these comments and seeing folks confuse edgy with legit pain and trust issues. He's not pretending to a lone wolf, he quite literally is now because of the trauma. In fact if anything he's more sad then he is "edgy" in every regard.

"Edgy" lost all meaning long, long ago, I'd say at least 10ish years ago. It's used so broadly for anything remotely "un-wholesome" that it's become useless as a descriptor. Basically a catch-all term for any interaction or way of being that is any degree of uncomfortable or atypical, no matter how small. Wears black/dark clothing? Edgy. Not smiling/happy all the time? Edgy. Isn't a punching bag and sticks up for themselves? Edgy. Revenge or just desserts? Edgy. Any violence at all? Edgy. Flashy movements/attacks? Edgy.
It's beyond silly.
