This whole chapter is a mess, the students should probably already know abt mana and manamanupilation since it's their 4th year. The teacher just taught them all the stuff that the mainee told them via a basic ahh metaphor describing how mana works. Which means the student's magic understanding could have been raised by that too.
It's also highly unlike that they'll all get nearly perfect scores -_- wtf
