The worst part of this trope is it could be resolved in 75% of the time by knocking on the door, which i find weird they don't do since Japanese culture is a lot about politeness and similar stuff.

Even split chapters can't escape "This.troupe", I see.
There are many forms of this and that, but this particular "this" is in my opinion almost the worst, only losing to liar reveal.

And I bet, it won't be solved by just talking it out, but rather will require several chapters of annoying and useless relationship mending between characters that will never actually have romantical feelings between each other.

Come to think of it, who even is going to be flagged with the MC.
The other adventurer is a clear one, but I bet she is a bait and that the princess will be the true love by the end of the series. Mark my words.
