Yeah, this was completely sus at best. MC blindly trusting a potentially mythological being and setting it free? After all the shit he’s been through?? And it being a Lung of all things, could’ve outright destroyed them. I guess he appraised it and we didn’t see it…? I don’t know how to take this development.

... Well, the dragon did make that promise about destroying everything aligned with evil that it encounters. And usually the trope goes that dragons are honorable beings who keep their promises no matter what. So hopefully this will have a good outcome.

Something feels off. The novel versions of this story made a distinction between wester dragons and their Asian counterparts. The dungeon above contained evil dragons and below it was chained a Fire Drakon.

Then again it's been forever since they started using this nomenclature, so it could very well be something the novel translators used to prevent their own confusion.

We've tried very much for the translation to be as close as possible to the manga raws. But I'll double check and if possible, check out the novel as well.
