This idea of 4D Chess Revenge on the girls part would be, honestly, a massive BS move on the author's part. It would more ideal if she told him that she originally wanted to kill him, but after seeing him so destroyed by guilt, she wanted to try to make amends with him.

Think about it. After the first few chapters, we see the guy destroy himself with guilt, to what? To lift him up and spike him like a volley ball into a ditch? What kind of message would that send? There is no peace or atonement for what you did? To try to do something right only to be punished for it? That would be so emotionally draining and depressing to read.

I actually think rather than ever planning revenge, she was always grateful to him from the very get-go for killing her father.

Before the father starter raping girls at school, I bet he first started out by abusing his own daughter. Shika could've endured years of abuse at his hands before she was "saved" by the mc. That would also explain her obsession with the mc - if she developed a sort of infatuation with him both as her "savior" and also as a maladjusted coping mechanism of someone who now had no one else of value in her life. The obsessed yandere (shika) route is definitely a dark drama-filled turn i can see this manga taking.

The rapist having a daughter is something that would have come up in trial (in the prosecution's case - i.e. the "victim" leaving behind orphaned children), and as a child care provider the child's family situation would be known as well. The mother definitely knows exactly who the girl is.

The kid has a new name now, it also possible that the mother wasn't mentally well during the trial, making her less likely to remember details

There's a tiny subplot in "Magical Girl Raising Project" where the author delves into the characters background right before they die. Mostly it tends to fall apart as there are way too many characters to full develop and their backgrounds are just kind generic.

Save for the magical Dog Girl who's background is that she is a failure at everything. She is just mediocre, constantly getting compared against her more successful younger brother. She just can't do anything right. At the present moment, she just rescued her leader from being killed by an assassin. And her reward, is being killed by her leader. That moment is the massive gut punch: She is punished for not doing anything right. And the moment she DOES something right, she is punished again.

It works here as she was just a minor character. To show the cruelty of this impact of this moment to this character and it's over.

To do this over and over to an MC, as stated would be just exhausting to read and I would immediately dump the manga if it goes this route.

Honestly, if her dad is molesting other people, she was probably a target and was too afraid to say anything. So when her dad starting molesting someone else, she probably felt relief not realizing that the other girl would kill herself. There has to be some survivor guilt there. Like if it was just me, maybe she wouldn't be dead. So this manga is a way for them to find forgiveness towards each other and themsevles?

She’s fucken playing both him and his mother. She’s lying to both of them, none of this scenario is by chance; putting on an act of ignorance and innocence.

she purposefully interrupted him and his mother when they were about to lay out the facts in chapter 2, she then played dumb at the end of chapter 2, and now we see she knows everything about him, even planning a meeting with him 5 years in advance.

I don’t know why she’s doing this but judging by the tags it’s probably revenge obsession. Make him hurt as much as possible by first exploiting his insecurities and regrets, then fuck him over. It’s why she can’t “let him die.”

I don’t buy the whole “it’s for the mother” arguement.

Well, this certainly is a roller coaster of twists. I wonder why she kept clippings of this guy. Perhaps she is a red herring and isn't the father's daughter at all with all the twists that seem likely and I hope this doesn't turn into a revenge plot line.

For me it's pretty clear that Shiika feels guilty for what her father has done. The Author made it pretty clear that this Manga is about guilt & atonement and not revenge.

Yes think so too. She wants him to live, and come to terms with what he did. It wasn't out of evil it was out of compassion for the death, and rape of his sister. The fact that she knew all along who he was. Shows she has been waiting to meet him for a long time. She has been visiting Yuris grave probably that whole time too. Probably to say sorry for what her father did to her.

First she makes him want to live. Then she takes her revenge. In a lot of revenge stories the "revenger" is obsessed with ruining the others life like they did to them. And since hes depressed and doesnt wanna live she needs to create a "normal" life for him.
Wouldn't surprise me if that's gonna be the case here. Not the first time I've seen that be a thing in revenge stories.

I think people here are overreacting a bit, from the story atmosphere it doesn't look like it will change to a elementary school psycho thriller or a slasher. She obviously will try something but she will gradually open up to him or from the get go genuinely will want to help him.
