I don't think that censoring should be allowed for scanlators.

I agree with you, but currently it's allowed for practicality. There is plenty of official censorship (that is sometimes removed in the volume release, sometimes not), so if scanlator censorship/edits were banned, then there would undoubtedly be false reports on not-scanlator-done censorship, and every single case would have to be adjudicated, and sometimes getting the multiple raws needed for such an adjudication is hard or even impossible! And so the mods don't want to deal with that.

The worst censorship from manheafreak that I've seen so far is when they cropped the middle part of a full length image of a female character, so it would look like 2 separate images. 1 of legs and 1 of head and shoulders.

It's entire premise doesn't make any sense because it's all outside of legality, & the ads they do get are literal porn/malware, and they even lock uncontested scanlated chapters behind a paywall.

The most absurd censorship I've seen from them is censoring a kiss. Just a girl sneaking a quick kiss on a guy's lips. Plastered a white blob right over both their faces.

What a wild thing to focus on and censor - I was so engrossed with the story and art that I didn't even notice how 'revealing' the outfit was. It's pretty tasteful and mild, compared to other media with gratuitous boob physics, panty shots, and bikini armor. Fits the character and situation, even. She's there to contrast her sister, and at this point trying to 'seduce' Will.
It's one thing to tone down unexpected NSFW content, but the other censorship is just petty and disrespectful and made the artist look like they can't draw anatomy properly.
