I'm loving how this world has a number of social systems in place to protect the weak and disadvantaged. Refugees can register in guilds without putting in their addresses so bad people in power cannot track down and attack their homes or families left behind, and children in unsafe households can get foster guardians to keep them safe from bad parents.
Honestly that was a very good offer from Ratlua, it made sense; but at the same time I love how Ivy chooses her own path in life: she's determined to do things her way and see the world, and I can respect her choice to follow that dream.
Mira has resorted to taking other women adventurers with her to try and con everybody that she can be trusted, although I get that the two ladies are probably not fully onboard with her, so I wouldn't rush to say both Lyselia and Kalua are also part of the kidnapping ring. Maybe Lyselia (the tan girl with the pixie cut hairstyle?) is in it based on her enthusiasm, but Kalua (maybe the one with the long hair and headband?) in particular seems like she was only asked to come along that one time, and is puzzled about this talk of bringing a boy to some sweets shop another day.
