MC all fired up is nice. But i sure do hope when the MC managed to become the caretaker again somehow, the heroine wouldn't just simply repaid it with a smile once and back to act goofy again the very next chapter and cause problem again on the later chapter. If that were the case it's just MC being a simp then

@asphyxiav2 Regarding the whole "giving salt to my enemy" thing, the TL;DR is that it means to help a rival/opponent/enemy and comes from a story about Uesugi Kenshin and Takeda Shingen during the Warring States era of Japan; the two had a very famous rivalry and they reportedly highly respected one another.

Anyway, as the story goes, the Hojo clan cut off the Takeda's supply of salt (which was used as a seasoning and preservative, the latter of which would be far more important at war), so Kenshin sent Shingen a shipment of salt, saying "Wars are meant to be won with swords and spears, not rice and salt" (i.e., on the battlefield, not through starvation).

Whether it actually happened or not is up for debate, but that's the gist of it; Narika sent help (MC) to her rival, Hinako, so she gave salt to her enemy.

Thanks for breathing some life into (a?) dropped series.
Maybe tone down the inline TL notes a bit and opt to put personal commentary in the credit page instead.
