Rich people am i right gamer?what a great dad, really amazing. Baffling that he was willing to sacrifice his daughter's ego and make her a puppet for the sake of his business and it took Shizune pulling strings to show him the FINANCIAL BENEFITS ITSUKI COULD PROVIDE HIS CONGLOMERATE to make him revert his decision. Not his daughter's well-being, not how much Itsuki has helped Hinako (even if we don't include the kidnapping incident) but in the end it all comes down to MONEY. GOD I fucking hope the author makes this come around to bite him in the ass, SOMETHING, ANYTHING, that fucks him up bc of this. Also, poor Hinako, look at how willing she was to sacrifice her entire sense of 'self' for Itsuki... Fuck the dad, honestly
honestly, it's the reason why i dropped plenty of series with same setting because these kind of parents or people doesn't get what they deserve and some author somehow absolve them from what they did with some convenient excuses (not to say that this series will go the same route since i don't know, but i've seen a lot that do)what a great dad, really amazing. wouldnt Say useless. It was important to highlight how shitty and short sited the dad actually was and for mc to declare his desire to protect her, not as a job but as something he truly desired. im guessing this is all to set up him eventually marrying into the family and taking over for the dad....she could've pulled those cards at any time? Were the past 3-4 chapters completely unnecessary? Empty conflict is such a painfully useless trope.
Yeah, conflict that gets resolved off screen by a secondary character isn't real conflict. It's hiding some fact that makes it a non-conflict for the sake of making it appear as one. Though this did achieve some other objectives....she could've pulled those cards at any time? Were the past 3-4 chapters completely unnecessary? Empty conflict is such a painfully useless trope.
