Lol, in real life these companies would never make these kinds of social circles. This all is like: what if you take all the modern companies of modern world and combine them with the snobbish and overinflated attitudes of noble families in media entertainment like video games.

Companies like this usually just look for other ways to get rich.

Let's not forget that this is work of fiction and everything inside it is not real and just for entertainment only.

More like, "what if it's modern setting, but we pretend it's the middle ages"

Woooowwwww... family dynasty social dynamics, holy crap! I thought I was done with shit like this, but this is a GREAT read!

I'm excited to see Miyakojima-sama's reaction to his nephew... that he disowned... and is now working for a rival family...

How does this play out?!

Holy crap, this is a fun manga!

what a great dad, really amazing. Baffling that he was willing to sacrifice his daughter's ego and make her a puppet for the sake of his business and it took Shizune pulling strings to show him the FINANCIAL BENEFITS ITSUKI COULD PROVIDE HIS CONGLOMERATE to make him revert his decision. Not his daughter's well-being, not how much Itsuki has helped Hinako (even if we don't include the kidnapping incident) but in the end it all comes down to MONEY. GOD I fucking hope the author makes this come around to bite him in the ass, SOMETHING, ANYTHING, that fucks him up bc of this. Also, poor Hinako, look at how willing she was to sacrifice her entire sense of 'self' for Itsuki... Fuck the dad, honestly
Oh, he's plenty fucked up, already; my grandfather was exactly like this, just exactly 100% like this, and it took a LOT for my parents to get away from this kind of faux-societal obligation.

Thankfully, British-American families don't have this kind of ability to control their kids, after the 1970s... but the Christmas parties are almost as bad as this kid of formal crap; all the adults cruising for who they like and who they hate, deciding who they should favor and who to screw... and who to literally screw...

These people have NO morals, save what makes money; they all look nice and follow all the little dining and social rules, but they'll fucking SCREAM like a damn toddler if they fail, or if they think you're costing them a business deal...

Someone please give me some hope, please tell me that hinako dad will die in the future
I only read the ln up to vol. 5
the only one who openly oppose the dad is Hinako's older brother who also possess exceptional quality, just like Hinako. Also has a peculiar quirk, just like Hinako.
I don't think the dad will die anytime soon.

Shizune has her own plans. Which she doesn't communicate. So unnecessary.
There are reasons she doesn't communicate them (mostly because neither of those two are at the stage of their emotional development either individually or as a pair where they are prepared for what she has planned just yet). Fear not: once her brother eventually joins the cast, she finds it almost impossible to hide any of it from him and he's quite happy to clue Itsuki in on it (to a certain extent).

About that... Let's just say that Itsuki's understanding of the things he remembers from his childhood is not necessarily complete, nor is he aware of everything that actually took place when he wasn't present.

:worry: welp look like I am one of the few (or the only one) who think the father is not that bad.. okay he is super bad compare to Mirei's dad or Narika's dad but still. Then again I already read up to vol. 5 of ln as I stated before.
Also if I remember correctly his true reason for Hinako fiance hunt will be revealed in the next chapter. Still not good of an excuse but also understandable. To me anyway.

He doesn't care about his daughter, he doesn't even meet her face to face and all it amounts to is saving his fucking face.

Upon daddy's downfall no amount of sad backstory will get me to sympathize with him.
