If he can just restart the day by dying, that's huge buff if he manages to keep his ability secret

Restart the day by just dying! Goooooo Saike!

@lly I don't think it's a buff, it was just not confirmed if it's triggered by death by lake or just death
So just a confirmation?

@Yamikzune Absolutely not guaranteed. It's completely possible that he redoes a day ANYTIME he dies. It's just that he has never had the "chance" to test it out. Considering the chances of him actually dying, it makes sense that he hasn't tried before.

@cryum Looks like nope. Ha. Looks. That's something that Hizu can't do.

Maybe he just needs to die while touching water like when he drowns. The Snow from this day would then be an acceptable replacement and he would be saved by mere luck. Makes sense since they never tried to understand the limitations of his oracle because of the chance of death.

He's going to either land in a puddle and it'll count, or he has straight up immortality via temporal resurrection.

I'm betting more on the panda giving the girl a power to save him.
That way we'd see her more than only in the omakes =/

Somehow, I'm still in the "something different is about to happen" camp. I dunno why, but letting him restart through any kind of death feels like it'd change the story too much. Like, the lake was supposed to be symbolic of what's important to him from the beginning. If he can suicide any time he wants, he's just like a demi-human from Ajin all of a sudden. Or maybe it just feels too obvious.

I could be wrong, though. Looking forward to finding out.

@Oeconomist while conversation of momentum still allows you to throw someone backwards when you're jumping forward if you're strong enough and results in you flying forward even faster, this scene though, lmao

saike apparently a superhuman that can jump what, 10 meters forward and then throw someone for that same distance
