@Konata_Izumi Yeah, but the main character is the same gender as their acquaintance in the marriage pairing so they're not a suitable alternative to marry the noble they know/incorporate her into their harem in any sort of official nobility sort of way. Gotta have heirs and shit. With that route likely closed off fairly tightly, I suppose there was significantly less motivation to go with a whole "I must rescue my friend from this terrible marriage" sort of deal? Either way, it does seem like quite a rarity.
