Hell, even the loli/shota/petite ones are 90% or more yuri or yaoi/BL. Atl those that I checked (which is a lot, mainly because I was trying to find a genuinely good genderbend that wasnt yuri or yaoi).
I mean, I found "She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man" to be genuinely relaxing and enjoyable read, but there is little to no romance (well, nothing other than with Mira's soulbound fairy, which is still in very tiny doses)
I don't mind no romance genderbends/switch but I would like atl a touch of it, if only to the side.
Since it is genuinely interesting to see how person's perspective and the effects on completely different biological functions (including large part of their brains) might affect their way of thinking, how it might slowly tear at their previous tastes and how they would face/deal with those changes.
Annoyingly enough, majority of the stories just go "lol, you changed genders, but everything else remains completely the same and won't slowly shift/change in some way at all." missing a very fascinating part of these complete, magical switching.
Ofc, that doesn't need to be the focus or even large part of the story. Hell, I just want to see atl acknowledgement of it existing.
I haven't found a straight gender switch as of yet that was actually good, depressingly enough. So I would love it if you knew of any I might have missed. : /
