Yeah, I read the translated light novel, and Cruz' sex is never a mystery there. I was wondering if the manga was trying to queue up a surprise.

@mekrabbat Probably not, the only surprise here seemed to be "You bathed together?" rather than "Cruz is a girl?" Perhaps it just ended up slightly more ambiguous because this mostly only used dialogue rather than narration, and nobody was really directly addressing whether Cruz was male or female in their dialogue at first.

Did the LN say why the MC never fell for any of his squad? I feel like that's a more realistic occurrence than one dude in a group of girls fighting death everyday but never choosing one to love or even just be friends with benefits.
