He is privy to the training of 3 different masters and have seen results from it. If this one master isn't getting results then a change in strategy is not a bad choice and he also has unique perspective of being trained by 3 very different s-rank individuals as well. His input will be invaluable, also he is the Mc so his input will be the catalyst

I think I can see why Cross views that training as inefficient. Cross' training involved careful observation and supervision and was heavily tailored for his own personal growth with regards to his unique skill, personality and such, despite the seemingly insane methods. Cat girl herself points it out in Chapter 61 and he knows it helped him grow fast (aside from the unique ability of his, their guidance helped his insane growth rate). Whereas her father just throws her to the wolves hoping her abilities just comes out.

Might be that he got the "strongest man" epithet because he never hit on the masters cause he was married before they went marriage hunting. So any and all potentially powerful dudes got in over their heads, hit on the three masters and had their development cut short.

Though if they dont play it off as a joke like that, i'd think sparring or conflict would be inevitable, chekov's gun and all that.
