This whole drama reminds me a lot of the relationship between artists and art galleries.

Isn't it a bit sus JB leading this charge when their chapters here have a 2 week delay, and they also have a history of shady behaviour? I didn't even know they uploaded to mangadex until I looked up Juju earlier to check.

Scan groups deserve respect for what they do and MD gives them far more respect than most any other site you'd find, the scan groups that've left haven't exactly taken anything of value with them anyway, some unknown series and shitty manhwa, that can all still be accessed on their site/other shittier aggregators.

umm if the problem is about delay ... you can still read the manga by going to scanlation site, MangaDex provide the link tho, i think the reader complain about some silly stuff here.

Gosh, I rmb this whole drama started because of some group (I forgot the name) posted their propaganda in the credit to criticize teams asking for donations. Granted this is the internet and people can do w/e they want but it doesn't mean they can shit talk people and expect they won't react. This is the prime example of "minding your own business." IF anything, I blame the group who started this. If you wanna do it for free, go ahead, no one's forcing you to take donation. Other teams asking for donation, it's their business. You don't like it, don't have to read or support their stuff. Simple as that!

My whole day was ruined taking that screenshot seriously. Plus, there were a bunch of idiots running around the comments calling everyone who took the screenshot seriously "JB Shills".


Not a very fun day for me to find out I was running around with egg on my face. On the plus side though, it's nice to know a lot of people hate Champion scans and Jamin Box as much as I do and for the same reasons.

I'm with Mangadex tho. My objectives with scanlation is, sharing my favourite manga to the audience. And Mangadex is good on that. Free, no ads, respecting group rules, and I can upload high quality images too.

Why would I need to do Patreon with pirated contents anyway?

@Happily_Grim Looks like it was actually 4 months and 2 weeks ago according to their website, but that really isn't much better. I don't see why these inactive scanlators think readers are gonna care if they leave. They've traded out their "rose coloured glasses" for blindfolds. They can't see what they're actually doing.
