Scanlating

Im just curious and I might try it as a one time thing but how do you guys scanlate? Or specifically I want to know you get the raws and in what format do you save it and upload it in here in Mangadex. Do you save it as a png or jpg? Do you save it in multiple pages or only one, and how would you even put it as one pic?

Though for translating Ill just figure it out on my own with the power of Google Translate + logic & english grammar + paint (jk i have photoshop)

Edit: Wait hold up, the raws im referring too is the webcomics raws. Like how to download it from Naver?

Some still scan physical copies or just grab digital raws from japanese sites.

Not sure about format but I'm sure its in multiple pages.

There's a manga tutorial for people who are new to translating, but I forgot the name. It has some useful tips. Have you searched around first? There are also some basic guidelines out there. I started translating last year, and just slowly improved as I went along.

Raws can be found in many places, but some have higher quality images. I recommend Hanascan. Some old manga won't be available, so I look for other sources, like websites that are not in English. In some cases, you'll have to pay for the raws out of your own pocket.

I save everything as PNG. Keep the Photoshop file so it's easier for you to go back and edit your mistakes. Each page is one file. So I have 22-23 pages per chapter, including credit pages, so 22-23 image files + PTS files = 46 or so files in one folder. One folder = one chapter.

And that's just two out of many things you need to know before you start translating. They aren't complicated, though, so don't worry.
