No, I actually like his logic here. I dislike it when you have a standard “Imma coward” or too passive MC, but… his comment of “showing this person will only have them use me, not be impressed with me” is probably fairly realistic.

Him showing off power isn’t going to make that scumbag like him. He needs to raise his own status to the point that guildmaster can’t touch him.

Except it's just a bs reason the author made up to milk this arc, he could just show him and everyone else insane prowess with spirit magic them leave the fucking city, I highly doubt it the author is gonna say that this is the only dungeon city, Jesus fcking Christ this plot is ong just annoying

all the charm in this story drained out as soon as the author tried shoveling generic isekai slop into it. shouldve kept with the deadlands if you were gonna make the MC a doormat, make the villains the exact same as every isekai fodder villain, and spend 3 chapters describing food.
