Personally, I don't think any manga fight should last more than 2 full chapters, and whoever's decision to split the chapters (wether or not it allows people to read sooner) has made this single fight feel like it's dragging on far too long. I mean, for readers on this platform, it's taken 5 months to get to the point that the lackey pulled a Frieza. It makes me fear that the actual fight with the Pope is going to take like 2 years.

shrug. the publisher needs it to have steady releases so people will want to keep reading and so they can make enough money to justify continuing the series. Personally i prefer for whole chapter releases but i have so many series i read that the long timespan for chapters finishing isnt really noticed by me. Hades the series Yankee Akuyaku Reijou: Tensei Tenka Yuiga Dokuson just got a second chapter released by a translator after 9 months so time isnt really a factor for me. btw thats a fun series so id recommend checking it out. keep in mind there's only 2 chapters so far.

imo, if it's against a normal enemy, then 2-3 should be the max number of chapters for the fight. However this is essentially one of the big bads of the series so it's understandable why its taking more than that.

I honestly have no faith that the pope will be more then defeated here. Gold Bird will likely be wounded or killed and the pope will escape. In the end the big bad hasn't had enough screen time and will be back later so as to drag it out even more. Two or three chapters is more then enough for the mid boss fight and the antagonist to live and fight another day with yet another henchmen.

Err I’m pretty sure it’s the publisher that splits it not the mangaka. When it gets put into a tankobon all of these chapter parts will be made whole. It’s split like this so people can keep reading the series without having to wait for a whole chapter as it can take awhile for a tankobon to come out.

My point still stands that it's been going on for too long. Sure, numerically it hasn't been 5 chapters, but combined there are over 5 partitions of the 3 chapters. Don't be pedantic, it just makes people irritated. If we were having a serious discussion, pedantry has its place. We are on a manga bulletin board

I get accepting it to get them to fuck off, but keeping it? Seriously? This is extremely unrealistic, she wasn't attached to this pendant at all.

Why is MC kinda weak? Isn't he a former hero? I don't remember his level as a hero but it is pretty high right before he change to monster tamer. His fight with the gold bird or slime should be more intense imo but he constantly get beaten up. It feels weird. The past 3 chapters or more made it feel like he suddenly got really really weak.

Divine class is not inherited by blood. Thus her whole quest to get the job change tome that started this whole mess.
