I’m not even mad that this person sniped as we are still pirating manga so calling for any decorum like forbidding sniping seems hypocritical imo. I’m just disappointed of how utterly lazy this attempt of a translation this is when the upload said they were impatient. If the upload were so impatient on new releases they could’ve taken the time to try get a half decent chapter out.

Report what exactly? That's one reason reason many dramas happen, because there's no rules against sniping or at bare minimum shitty mtl.

I imagine half the reason there's no rules is due to extra work it would take, half the reason is that it would be opening Pandora Box (it was actually a jar), because then  who judges quality? The person would need to look at the raws too to judge it after all.

I would argue that at this point it would be easier to make a general group for quality check mtl, someone to do a mtl? They give their "translation" and the raw to the group of people who know Japanese so they can quality check and fix it, so it'll be good enough, but even then that's more damage control than anything else, since mtl shouldn't be a thing to begin with.

Mtl is not real translation the same way AI art is not real art, it shouldn't even be a thing to begin with.
