I've thought about this a lot, and if I were sent back in time, I would try to introduce beneficial innovations centuries/decades early with the hopes that the modern era I came from would be miles ahead of what it currently is.

Imagine a world where we developed microcontrollers 100 years earlier... What would we have now?

Imagine a world where we developed nukes 400 years earlier... Would we have a nuclear wasteland now or would it be constant M.A.D.?
