"How do I get rid of this crippling and fatal disease?"
"Eat. Literally, eat ANYTHING edible, and you can become better."

Vitamin B1, or Thiamine, is abundant in many foods, including whole grains, meat, fish, poultry, eggs, leafy vegetables, root vegetables, legumes, milk, milk products, and fruit juices. But considering the time and place, where poverty, famine, and religious fasting was prevalent, it would have been more common to see Beriberi (Thiamine/Vitamin B1 Deficiency).

@Mogima Hahaha, I have no idea, since there're no indicated chapters in the WN. But based on Yado inn's chapters, it should be 60+. Luckily each arc is a year, so this is the 1569 arc.

Well, her crying did have an impact. I mean, she’s been thrown into the past during a war and never cried until now

To Hell with the adoption, please just say that the village is being upgraded! I'd grown used to Shizuko the village chief.

I remember reading on a medical textbook that outer layer (shell?) of rice had vitamin B1 on it and if you just ate rice normally you'd get enough of it. I wonder if this is a food additive thing or the way japanese prepare rice rids it of the vitamine. Weird stuff.

@herShie_4ever As if she has a choice in all of this.

Well, I guess she could bet her fate and go to other clans, but that will only get her killed.

Edit: Just realize this now, she said "sugar-picked radish" right? While she did have sugar on her hand, isn't that a prety big deal?
