You know I actually missed that because I thought she was just yapping. Speed reading is rare for me, I feel ashamed.
I was also distracted until the second change she appears with newspaper the brother ask about war and make me note there is "war" written in the news

Our protag getting to the island was the biggest mystery in the series, but the newspaper kinda confirms that whatever happened reverse-isekai'd everything, as well as randomly teleporting people who were probably at ground zero

Japan might be the focal point of it, but US intervention means that this might be global (or they're just good allies, to remind us this is a work of fiction)

With the big lore drop in this chapter, I wonder if the end goal is something like Shiouden helping the fantasy trio (all of them royalty in their respective nations) become part of his harem friends, thus making them willing to stop the war just in time to save HIS world from being destroyed.

Has it been confirmed that this is actually earth? Just having the newspaper doesn't explain how MC arrived on the island. What if this is actually either another world entirely or somehow the worlds merged which is why there is mana, but just not much as the existing mana was dispersed in a world that existed without it.

Also was the newspaper among belongings he had lost or just randomly on the island? If it had been in his possession, then he should have already had an idea of what was happening.

... Lol, I bet the brother is going to be the one to willingly cooperate with the rest of the bunch to get off the island, and telling the sister that stabbing them in the back is a terrible idea.

It hasn't been confirmed, but one of the major hurdles in the series is the lack of mana. Anastasia, Naga and now the demon twins lampshade how weird it is (from their perspective) that this island is devoid of mana. It suggests that this island isn't part of their world, making Earth the most likely option. The presence of objects from our world reinforces that impression.

But you're right, everything is quite mysterious at this point, there's room for twists.
