NGL, I would've /tried/ to defend the oneeshota if the series showed him turning 18 and both him and Natsumi start coming to terms with moving on from the past and focus on maturing and moving forward but the author says nope. Green ring finger she uses to symbolize a wedding ring is still there in the beach chapter.
Instead of progress, what we got is a bisexual womanchild who has oneitis over the straight friend she had a crush on in middle school and a high school boy forced to grow up too early because he wants to pick up her emotional slack and care for her.
Legitimately baffled with the author's choices but I've seen mentions in pixiv comments about how the author tweets saying they want Yuuto and Natsumi to portray the "dark side" of oneeshota, whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean.
Anyway, we're straying off the chapter. Okudera's happy now, let's be happy for her too.
