People being surprised with this ending is more confusing than anything, considering how shitty and rushed the latest chapters were. The author clearly stopped giving a fuck a while ago, the dialogs have been nonsensical and he didn't even bother closing the secondary characters' arcs. The dude cares more about his fantia loli porn.

This ending doesn't feel fulfilling, but what I don't get is the energy of the poor reactions to it. "THE JAPANESE DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE ROMCOMS! KOREA IS OUR ONLY HOPE, NOW!" "I'M GONNA GO READ THE PORN DOUJINS FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE!"

Like, it was never that serious. Ending's even got some people taking up weird and vitriolic anti-Japanese prejudices. For what purpose?

finally it ended. holy this series sucks. the pacing is awful, the development is frustrating, the rushed ending is cherry on the top. if not because the banana meme, the comedy, and the side couple, i would rate it lower. 6/10

Don't get wrong I'm grateful for what the translators have done throughout the years, but man, Sakurai and Kazama had much better development than these two. They were actually fun to watch.

Also, what about Natsumi and Yuuto Did the author just forget?

Moto Takagi San and Nagatoro ended much more gracefully.

I'm usually one to hate when a manga drags on too long
But this had so much potential for future stories, and outright loose ends. I love this series but I gotta say this has left me really unsatisfied. Hopefully we get some bonus chapters, but this really could have gone on for much longer and still been great.

Man, I feel cheated. We got to see nothing of their actual relationship whatsoever, none of the side relationships/plots have resolutions. This was going on for so long, to just end abruptly with them getting together, I hate that about slice of life romcoms, always about the "will they wont they" without showing us them actually being together..

A worthless rushed ending befitting this manga. Sakurai's brother and Natsume? Fuck them. Them kissing or sharing any kind of intimacy or anything that leads to this outcome except long distance > Time skip > end? Fuck that, ain't no one got time for that. Other characters like the timid ex black company employee or the vodka drinking lady? Who cares lmao.

Overall, 6/10, only Sakurai and Kazama bits were good, everything else was trash and meaningless. Glad I wasn't invested in this and only read bits when it popped up.

I suspect Manta-sensei grew weary of this some time ago. Basically, he had X number of pages to fill out a tankoubon (not counting whatever omake chapter he adds for the final tankoubon), so that's what he did. And too often, it results in a manga that just ends in a less than satisfying manner, especially if the manga-ka is tired of doing the series.

No. The tankoubon will have an omake chapter that wasn't seen, but that's it for this manga.

We'll see what Sensei does next. I may or may not read it.
